I worked with the building’s history and existing features to bring out its best. Note that the awning selection mirrors the gutter indentions at the top roofline. I selected an awning color that complements the existing roof tiles. I called attention to the windows by making the surrounding molding a lighter color. The most prominent portion of the building would be a darker color as well as the front doors of each unit. I added a cast concrete architectural embellishment to the building just below the curved roofline, which was probably there originally. I also added grates on the door windows. I suggested the second simulation color palette.
